Mapi Sanchez Alayeto, her injury keeps her out of the World Padel Tour for 3 or 4 months.
First Wednesday of Stock Padel Radio, where we talked with Mapi Sanchez Alayeto, after her shoulder surgery. According to her, after the operation “the first days were tough, but I'm in better spirits now.” This very week she will start assisted mobility work, while trying to maintain her lower-body muscle tone. She is in very good spirits, although she could not tell us when she will be able to set foot on a padel court again; doctors estimate between 3 and 4 months. We wish her a speedy recovery!
Although the idea was to interview the Gemelas Atomikas, we could only talk to Mapi, as her sister was in the hospital with tonsillitis. What a way to start the year!
Alternating venues for the World Padel Tour Master Final.
Luis Torres, Expansion Director of the World Padel Tour, confirmed during the interview on Stock Padel Radio that “the Estrella Damm Master Final will alternate its venue between the Palau Sant Jordi and the Madrid Arena.” He stated that the WPT's goal this year will be to grow. He could not reveal many novelties, since on 13 March the WPT 2019 Presentation Gala will take place in Marbella.
As for the international expansion of padel, managed by Hernan Auguste “El Bebe”, it has gone from having 3 events in the 2014 season to the 9 already confirmed for 2019 outside our borders.
