Which is the best padel racket brand? Here is our selection and their history.
If we think about which are the best padel rackets a good list comes to mind, including both Spanish padel brands and multinationals that have bet heavily on padel in recent years.
Bullpadel
It was founded in 1995 and is one of the padel brands that pioneered the sport in Spain. In 2005 it was acquired by the Aguirre & Cía group, and since then it has not stopped growing internationally. It is known for its high-quality products, in rackets as well as apparel and accessories, and counts among its ranks players of the caliber of Paquito Navarro, Martin Di Nenno or Alejandra Salazar among others. Its two best-selling rackets are the Vertex and the Hack.
Paddle Coach
It was founded in 1999 in Madrid by Jaime Camps, who positioned the brand among the best internationally thanks to the high quality of its products. The brand was later acquired by several partners, among them Enrique Vicente, a pioneer in the sale of rackets nationally and internationally, who began working for Varlion as Sales Director and later for Star Vie in the same role.
After more than 20 years dedicated to these brands, he started his own project with Paddle Coach, so we can see his knowledge of the industry in its products. They are currently developing the 2023/24 collection with 100% Spanish manufacturing. Their catalog includes some of the best-selling rackets in history, such as the Tritubox, Bitubox or Airbox models. Their designs leave nobody indifferent, and they offer high-end products at an affordable price range.
Currently, they are looking for distributors in countries all over the world to sell their products. Their contact email is: info@paddlecoach.com
Babolat
Babolat is a French brand with more than 150 years of history, founded in 1875 in the city of Lyon by Pierre Babolat. It started out making natural gut strings for tennis rackets and, over time, has become a world reference in racket sports, including tennis, badminton, pickleball and, since 2001, also padel.
In the world of padel, Babolat has developed a complete range of rackets adapted to every playing style and experience level. Its best-known lines, such as Viper, Veron, Vertuo, Dyna y Stima, combine power, control y maneuverability, using innovative materials and high-performance designs.
The brand works with top-level professional players, such as Juan Lebrón, and is committed to constant innovation, passion for the sport and the manufacture of high-quality products to meet the needs of the most demanding players.
Nox
NOX is a Spanish brand of padel founded in 2009 by the brothers Jesús and José Luis Ballvé. From the very beginning, it has been committed to technological innovation, careful design and quality in all its products, which has made it one of the most recognized brands in the world of padel.
The NOX range includes padel rackets, technical apparel, footwear y accessories, developed to maximize the performance of players at every level. Its most notable collections include the Luxury Series, the Pro Series and the NFA Series, which combine advanced materials with exclusive technologies.
The brand is backed by professional players such as Agustín Tapia y Miguel Lamperti, who use the same rackets that are available to the public, which reinforces confidence in the quality of its products.
Currently, NOX is present in more than 70 countries, establishing itself as a global brand and a reference in the padel industry.
Star Vie
StarVie is a Spanish brand specialized in the manufacture of padel rackets and high-quality accessories. Founded in 2002, the company has experienced sustained growth, establishing itself as one of the leading brands in the padel sector.
Since 2013, StarVie has produced its rackets by hand in its factory located in Azuqueca de Henares, Guadalajara, which allows it to keep thorough control over the entire manufacturing process and guarantee excellence in every product.
The brand stands out for its commitment to innovation, incorporating advanced technologies and top-quality materials in its rackets. In addition, StarVie sponsors leading professional players and has established strategic alliances to strengthen its presence both nationally and internationally.
With a wide range of products that includes rackets, bags, clothing and accessories, StarVie continues its global expansion, maintaining its essence of quality and dedication to the world of padel.
Adidas
In 2013 the multinational Adidas landed in the world of padel, betting big with the signing of player Martita Ortega. Since then, the firm has not stopped innovating in its products, resulting in incredible padel rackets as its Adipower range shows. Currently, players such as Seba Nerone, Alex Ruiz or Martita Ortega use its products at the highest level.
Varlion
The legendary padel brand Varlion was born in 1993 in Argentina, and in 1999 its founder Felix Regalía moved its manufacturing to Spain, where its products were very well received from the start. It is considered the brand that has brought the most innovations to padel racket manufacturing, and it developed the best-selling racket in the history of padel: Varlion Lethal Weapon Carbon 3.
After great successes, the brand suffered financial problems and for several years now it has not managed to regain the top spots in the ranking.
Head
It was one of the pioneering multinationals to fully enter the padel market. After so many years of development, they have very high-quality products tested by some of the best players in the world. Arturo Coello and Sanyo Gutierrez have collaborated with the brand to develop great padel rackets.
Among them, the Head Delta Pro and the Head Alpha Pro 360 stand out, used by the player Sanyo Gutiérrez and Arturo Coello.
Drop Shot
Drop Shot is a relatively young brand, but from the very beginning it has shown a high-quality product with good value for money. Its star player is none other than Juan Martín Díaz, 13 times world number 1.
Black Crown
The Catalan firm has a short but strong track record. It has managed to carve out a place among the best padel brands and currently develops products of very well-recognized quality. The world number 1 player Marta Marrero uses its products on the World Padel Tour circuit.
Siux
The Siux brand is a different case, as it belongs to the Padelnuestro group, so you can find it in any of their online stores, and it is clear that their priority is selling this brand.
Many of our customers tell us about bad experiences when buying discontinued products at an apparently very good price on some of these websites. They later receive an email, call or WhatsApp saying that the product is out of stock and offering a racket from one of their own brands (Siux, Origen, etc.)
As for the quality of the products, in this case we can't take a stand, since we have not tried these rackets.
Which padel racket brand should you buy? We tell you.
If we had to choose a padel brand to buy your racket from, we would recommend one of those mentioned above. Their fame is nothing more than the result of their successes and the great quality of their products.
Among them, you will find brands with Spanish manufacturing and others with Asian manufacturing (China or Pakistan). In the past you could see differences between the two, but the reality is that Asian manufacturing of padel rackets has evolved so much that models such as the Bullpadel Vertex 02, Babolat Viper Carbon or the Paddle Coach Tritubox, which are made in Asia, are some of the best-performing rackets in our online padel store. They therefore offer great guarantees, and we fully recommend the purchase of these padel brands.
These are the Spanish padel racket brands.
From the list of brands mentioned above, the Spanish padel brands are:
- Star Vie
- Paddle Coach
- Nox
- Bullpadel
- Black Crown
- Drop Shot
Adidas, on the other hand, is a German company, Head was founded in the United States although it is Austrian, Babolat is a French brand and the origins of Varlion are Argentine.
Padel racket brands manufactured in Spain
The padel racket brands mentioned above have their headquarters in Spain, but that does not mean their products are manufactured in our country. Currently, from our selection, the companies that manufacture part or all of their catalog of `rackets in Spain are:
- Star Vie: It has its own factory in Alcalá de Henares, where most of its rackets are made. On the other hand, the entire low and mid range is made in China.
- Paddle Coach: They make their rackets in Madrid, and the quality they demand of their finished product, both internally and aesthetically, is the highest.
- Varlion: It currently seems they have returned to Spain with a new factory in Madrid, and a large part of their catalog is made there. The mid and low range is made in China
On the other hand, the only one of these brands that manufactures its padel rackets in Spain is Star Vie. As we have already mentioned, this is because nowadays Asian manufacturing has nothing to envy of Spanish manufacturing; in fact, Star Vie has been including several models made in Asia for a few years now in order to compete on price with the other brands. Varlion used to be one of the brands with 100% Spanish production, but for some years now its products have been manufactured in Asia or South America.
Padel racket brands manufactured in China
Among all these brands, most of them manufacture in Asia, with China or Pakistan being the leading countries in the sector.
Companies that make their rackets in Asia:
-
Bullpadel
-
Siux
-
Nox
-
Wilson
-
Kuikma
-
Head
-
Black Crown
-
Drop Shot
-
Adidas
Of course these are not the only ones out there, but we wanted to put together a summary of the best padel racket brands, at least from our experience as distributors and having tested their products first-hand.
